For open fireplaces we especially recommend the briquettes. They are very clean and easy to store. They burn hotter and heat quicker than conventional firewood logs, and they produce less smoke. There are no sparks or spitting to worry about.

They are environmentally friendly on many levels; sourced from virgin wood, they produce less tar which means cleaner chimneys, and even the remaining ash can be used as a fertilizer.
